En unas horas estaré volando rumbo a Belgrado para ver en poco más de 24 horas y por segunda vez a Iron Maiden en su gira “Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2009″.  Como un hincha de fútbol cualquiera y con bandera incluída, iré a animar a unas de mis bandas preferidas (véase la increíble foto tomada hace unos minutos poco antes de salir hacia el  aeropuerto de Barajas). El punto de frikismo no tiene límites, pero uno tiene que intentar cumplir sus ilusiones sea de la forma que sea.

Si tengo conexión wifi en el hotel intentaré actualizar el blog desde allí. En caso contrario, fotos y vídeos del viaje y especialemente del concierto a la vuelta.

Una de las franquicias de videojuegos más longevas, aclamadas y populares del mundo de los videojuegos podría estar en peligro, una vez más a consecuencia de la temida crisis económicas.

De los alrededor de 5.000 despidos que Microsoft va a llevar a cabo, 1.500 podría afectar a la división de ocio digital del gigante de Redmond, lo que ha salpicado a los creadores de Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Según recogió Otr/press de la revista especializada Gamasutra, todo ACES Studio, desarrolladores de la realista saga de pilotaje de aeronaves, ha sido clausurado por la compañía. Con este movimiento, queda en entredicho el futuro de Flight Simulator, si bien desde Microsoft no se ha anunciado nada al respecto.

Se trata de una de las franquicias con lanzamientos continuos más longevas de la historia de los videojuegos. La primera versión se lanzó en 1982 con entregas casi anuales. La última vio la luz en 2006, representando un éxito, y recibió una ampliación en 2007. Un representante de Microsoft anunció que ya había una nueva entrega en desarrollo, cuya continuidad está en el aire. ACES Studio también trabajaba en la segunda parte de su simulador de trenes Tran Simulator.
